What is the role of government, as you see it?
To be smaller we have to many commissioners never can get 21 people to come together to many with agendas and grudges against each other and the mayor
In what ways (if any) should the current county budget be re-aligned?
Move the money for SROs into the sheriffs budget and fund a animal control officer as well as fund as much as the county depts submit without a tax increse
What are your top three goals for Hickman County, and how, specifically, would you work toward them as a commissioner?
(1) to have a smaller commission (2) have a balanced budget without raising taxes (3) this the most important one to work with fellow commissioners and the county mayor to bring into the county both residential and commercial growth and development and to have a 2, 5, and 10 year plan
What is your opinion on changing the composition or compensation (particularly health insurance benefit) of the county commission?
Do away with both would have a much stronger commission expressionaly if you only had 14 commissioners this alone would save the tax paying citizens from having to raise any property tax
By default, how will you advocate resolving budget shortfalls?
Look at all options first but start with a look at how we got there to start with
