An organized body, elected by the people to serve the people.

We all need to look for new ways to increase our budget by bringing more revenue to the table. Any improvements to infrastructure are going to be tax related or government incentives (grants) to raise it. We need to work on bringing more money to the table to improve education, infrastructure, and opportunities for our citizens. One of my main thoughts is tourism. Hickman County is a beautiful county with many hidden gems to offer people from other areas. We need to exploit these wonderful assets and market them to potential tourist.

First, Increase tourism and foot traffic to our merchants which will increase sales tax revenue and help fund our budget. Second on my list is county cleanup. Serving on the Centervile Industrial Board, I have had to entertain guests coming into the community looking for prospective property and they have always commented on the litter and poor building conditions. We have to clean it up. Last but not least, is our education system. The current board and faculty are doing a fantastic job. I would like to help in anyway I can.

I understand that some constituents do not agree with providing health insurance and some income to county commissioners. However, having served on the city industrial board and county planning and zoning commission I feel some compensation is required. These positions call for long hours, careful thought, and debate. These activities pull us away from our ability to earn income and so it needs to be supplemented.
